Go and Be Who God Made You to Be
Ephesians 2:10 … we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. (ESV)
I wonder if you have an unfulfilled dream. Something perhaps even from your childhood, that you really wanted to do … something that’s been lying dormant in your heart, until today.
You’ll often find me talking about how incredibly gifted you are. The reason I do, first and foremost, is because that’s what the Bible says. And secondly, so many people have lost sight of the gifting that God’s implanted into their very DNA.
When you lay hold of that gifting, when you start using it to bless others, when you start being who God’s made you to be, it’s amazing how much better, how much more enjoyable, how much more fulfilling life becomes. I’m often asked though:
How can I know what to do with my gifting?
When I probe a little bit further, I almost always discover that the person asking that question has a secret dream in their hearts; a dream that’s so outrageous, they’ve never dared to tell anyone about it.
Do you have a God-given dream in your heart to get out there and do something outrageous? If you do, step out and do it. You’ll be amazed what God does with that, because …
Ephesians 2:10 … we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. (ESV)
The God-breathed dream in your heart is His way of getting you on the journey. Yeah, sure, it means getting out of your comfort zone. It means people criticising you, even opposing you.
But until you deploy who He made you to be, by walking towards those dreams, those good works that He’s already prepared for you, you’ll always have this sense that something is missing.
That’s God’s Word. Fresh … for you … today.
