Need a Saviour?
Romans 3:22-24 God makes people right through their faith in Jesus Christ. He does this for all who believe in Christ. Everyone is the same. All have sinned and are not good enough to share God’s divine greatness. They are made right with God by his grace. This is a free gift. They are made right with God by being made free from sin through Jesus Christ.
As we go along doing life, I’m not sure if you’ve noticed but there seems to be such a big gap some days between the day-to-day realities that we all deal with and the whole God-spiritual-sin-eternal life thing.
Have you ever seen one of those street preachers standing on a soap box yelling out at the top of his voice?
Repent. Repent before it’s too late. We all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Turn from evil ways. Turn from your wickedness. Only in Christ will you find redemption. He is the only way. Turn back to God. Repent!
Oh, give me a break – who is this guy?!
For two thousand years now, “the church” has been telling “the world” that it needs a Saviour. Many people hear that and think to themselves – at least I did – No I don’t! I don’t need saving from anything. And if I have to spend eternity with that guy, maybe hell’s not looking too bad.
The way that our thinking tends to go, even if we’ve believed in Jesus for a while now, is that … Well, I’m not such a bad person. My ‘sins’ are just little sins. Repent? Nah, that’s for someone much worse than me.

There’s no hierarchy of sins there. There are no exceptions. All of us have sinned. None of us are good enough to share in God’s divine greatness.
That’s God’s Word. Fresh … for you … today.
