Start Living Your Gig
Ephesians 2:10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
On a scale of zero to ten, how satisfied are you with your occupation; the job, paid or unpaid, that you’re doing right at the moment? If you’re like most people, the answer to that question can be a bit unsettling.
Have you ever tried to hammer a square peg into a round hole? It doesn’t work. The hole survives okay, but the peg gets mangled in the process. So why is it, that so many people try to live their lives, as square pegs in round holes?
Think about it. How many people do you know who are labouring away at a job that they loathe; a job that they were never created to do in the first place?
The statistics on job satisfaction tell the story. 81% of people are dissatisfied with their jobs and 56% are actively looking for a new one.
Okay, it could be the working conditions or a bad boss. But if I were a betting man, which I’m not, I’d put money on the table that says that most of those people are simply in the wrong job. They’re trying to do things they were never made to do.
Listen up. God made you to be who you are. God made you to do what He planned for you to do. But don’t just take my word for it:
Ephesians 2:10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. (NKJV)
Get a revelation. You are His workmanship, uniquely handcrafted in Christ, why? For what purpose? To do the things, good things, good works that God has already prepared for you ahead of time.
So, why not get on and be who you are, and do what you were made to do?
That’s God’s Word. Fresh … for you … today.
