Finding the Words

Philippians 2:11 They will all confess, "Jesus Christ is Lord," and this will bring glory to God the Father.

Evangelism is a word that makes many a Christian cringe. And in a sense, I think, rightly so, because it carries with it some negative connotations.

I used to wonder, if I were to share my faith in Jesus with those who didn’t yet believe, how would I do that?

My hunch is, we’ve all had religion shoved down our throats at some point or other, and it’s not pretty, is it? So, I certainly don’t want to shove my beliefs down anyone’s throat, because it’s not going to achieve anything positive! In fact, in all likelihood, quite the opposite!

And yet, the peace and the power of God to change my life for the better are things I want other people to have too! And can I tell you something – sharing that – well, the answer was so simple.

Jesus is just part of my life. He just is. Every breath that I take is for Him. And when you’re living that life, albeit imperfectly some days, hopefully on balance, you become a blessing to other people. Eventually, they see what you have and they think to themselves, I want some of that too. So they ask you about it.

Your faith in Jesus, the joy it brings to your life, the peaceful countenance that it gives you in times of stress, is kind of like a bridge that Jesus chooses, at some point, to walk over into the lives of others.

Philippians 2:11 They will all confess, “Jesus Christ is Lord,” and this will bring glory to God the Father.

The way that your life confesses, through your words and your actions, that Jesus Christ is the Lord of your life, will ultimately bring glory to God. It’s … a Jesus thing.

That’s God’s Word. Fresh … for you … today.

Dearest Berni
I feel God’s presence every day through his word, through the fellowship with ‘God people’, you are a big part of that and may God bless you mightily.

I lift my eyes upwards and notice the mountains moon and stars. Where I used to look down.

When I am tired he gives me rest. When I am sad he gives me comfort.. I always know He will anser me. It might be yes no or wait.
Sometimes I might not like what I hear.

I ask God to grant me the wisdom of his word so I can retain it and share it; the eyes of love, I ask God to let me know when to speak and when say nothing, to give me the work God wants me to do and take where I need to be. Amen.
You are God with skin on. Did I tell you I give hugs to those who need it. But I ask first. I have been suprised many times at who says yes.
Love in Christ Jesus. Louise 🤗
